"The next day, the great crowd that had come for the Feast heard that Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out to meet Him, shouting, 'Hosanna! Blessed is He Who comes in the Name of the Lord. Blessed is the King of Israel!'" John 12:12-13

The people surely were excited! They were acknowledging that Jesus was the One Who could and would save them. They were praising Him and showering Him with adoration. They were honoring Him as their Savior and King!

We also need to honor Jesus as our Savior and King. We should be blessing His Name and in our hearts be strewing palm branches under His feet. We need to exalt Him to the highest place in our lives and give Him access to all parts of our lives. We should not be like the crowds who praised and honored Him one day and called for His crucifixion a few days later! He is always God Who died for our forgiveness.

HE IS ALIVE!

HOSANNA! On the third day Jesus rose from the dead! "Hear the bells ringing they're singing, 'Christ is risen from the dead!' We rejoice in the resurrection of our Savior!

"Surely, He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered Him stricken by God, smitten by Him, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our sins, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him and by His wounds we are healed. We, all, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all."

Isaiah 53:4-6.

In light of what Jesus gave up (heavenly glory) and what He suffered for us (crucifixion) how can we not say THANK YOU! He was willing to take our sins upon Himself and suffer separation from the Father in order to bring us close to God in reconnected fellowship! Thank God for Jesus! Amen.
