Do you think God is crying? Do you think He is weeping over the state of the beautiful world He created and the lovely people He created to inhabit it? I believe He is crying now as He cried when He sent His Son to earth to die for the sins of His people. I believe He cried while sending the deluge on the earth in the time of Noah. Only 8 people, in the ark, survived the worldwide flood that ensued. I believe He has cried through the centuries of man's inhumanity to man. The conquerors, the wars, the genocides that have decimated the earth. I believe He is crying now.
God is not the orchestrator of wars and rumors of wars. He is not the author of man's inhumanity to man. It is the enemy, the devil, who perpetrates wars, holocausts, and every kind of evil known to man. God loves us and that is why He sent Jesus to die for our sins. He desires for all of us to be reconnected to Him by the death and resurrection of His Son. It is a gift. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16). The Bible says, "Jesus wept." (John 11:35). He wept over the death of His friend, Lazarus. I believe He is weeping today as He sits at the right hand of the Father and watches what is going on here on earth. His heart aches for those who are hurting, from the loss of family members, the loss of homes, the loss of livelihood, the loss of everything they had once held dear. There is confusion, pain, disorientation, and most of all fear in the world today. People don't know whether they are coming or going, where their next paycheck is coming from or their next meal. God is calling! "Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28). He wants to give us rest and peace. But it is only through Jesus that we can receive this peace that surpasses understanding. "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27). Jesus says "I am the Wayand the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6). Jesus is the only way to the father and He is the only way to having peace in our lives. a peace that lasts, that is steady and sure no matter what is happening around us. Give your life to Jesus and have peace!
"I will carry you, through your darkest night, when you're terrified. I will carry you when the waters rise when your hope runs dry. I will carry you! ((c) Ben Glover, Ellie Holcomb).
